Availability (OEE)

Run time divided by planned production time; captures breakdowns, changeovers and other stops.

Formula Availability = (Planned time − Stop time) ÷ Planned time

EnPI (Energy Performance Indicator)

Metric used to track energy performance against a baseline (ISO 50001 term), normalised for relevant variables such as output or weather.

Formula e.g. kWh per unit = Energy used ÷ Good units produced

Full-time equivalent (FTE)

Paid hours expressed as a number of full-time contracts.

Formula FTE = Paid hours ÷ Full-time contract hours

OTIF (On Time In Full)

Share of order lines delivered on the agreed date and in the agreed quantity. Fix the definition (date, tolerance) before tracking.

Formula OTIF = Lines on time and complete ÷ Total lines × 100

Performance rate

Actual output compared with what the ideal cycle time allows during run time; captures slow running and micro-stops.

Formula Performance = (Ideal cycle time × Total count) ÷ Run time

TEEP

OEE measured against all calendar time, exposing capacity lost by not scheduling the asset.

Formula TEEP = OEE × (Planned time ÷ Calendar time)

Training ROI

Net monetary benefit of a programme relative to its cost.

Formula ROI = (Benefit − Cost) ÷ Cost × 100
